Reserving Space in Hughes-Trigg Student ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ
Requesting to hold an event on campus requires you to follow a two-step process in the STABLE software system.
- Submit a reservation for your desired location
- Submit a support request for your event

The Hughes-Trigg Student ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ (HTSC) is implementing a new reservation procedure effective Tuesday, September 2.
Under this procedure:
- Faculty and Staff may request space reservations up to 1 year in advance. The practice that HTSC spaces are not be used to host academic courses will remain in effect.
- Students and Student Organizations may request space reservations up to 6 months in advance.

It is the client's responsibility to provide necessary accommodations for persons with disabilities required under the Americans with Disabilities Act. ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ student organizations and departments can utilize the following resources:

- Institutional Access and Equity (accessequity@smu.edu) - for staff, faculty, and visitor access
Solicitation
ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ is a private campus and operates with a “no solicitation” policy to prevent uncontrolled access by outside entities to students, faculty, and staff as they live and learn. While solicitation is not explicitly defined in the broader policy, it is defined here as “presence with the intent to garner information, funds, attention, or action from members of the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ community”. Examples include (but are not limited to): student ambassadors giving out products, selling goods or services, recruiting for hires, advertising, proselytizing, or surveying for data. An exception to this campus policy is granted through paid reservation of space and resources via the process for External Groups.
ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Departments may only distribute materials in HTSC (newspapers, magazines, brochures, handbills) with the approval of a Student ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ and Activities staff member.
