Open Access Publishing Grant
ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ’s Open Access Publishing Grant helps ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ faculty, staff, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students publish their work openly. The grant can be used to help pay (APCs) for Open Access (OA) articles, book chapters, or books that are not already covered by ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ Libraries’ publishing agreements.
Criteria
- Open to current ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ faculty, staff, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students
- An ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ author must be the corresponding author
- Limit of one grant per author per year
- Eligible publications include peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and book chapters
- Publications in predatory journals (as identified by ) are not eligible
- Funding is for forthcoming publications only; previously paid charges are not covered
- Publications must be openly available at publication with no embargo
- Other grant or departmental publication funding must be used first
Funding
Funding will not exceed 125% of the average article processing charge fee for the current year. The average APC in 2026 is $3379, so this fund will not cover more than $4223 per article. A limited amount of funding is available each year. Once funds are exhausted, the grant will resume in the next fiscal year.
