ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Continuing and Professional Education will offer a new certificate program, βBest Practices in Supervision,β beginning March 4 at ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅-in-Plano.
DALLAS (ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅) – ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Continuing and Professional Education will offer a new certificate program, “Best Practices in Supervision,” beginning March 4, 2015, at ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅-in-Plano. The noncredit program is open to all adult students 18 years and older, and is presented in a classroom setting.
Taught by practicing professionals, this certificate program includes three required courses that cover the fundamentals of supervision, team development and performance management, and communication skills. Students can then choose an elective course to complete the program in as little as three months. This course is designed for anyone whose job performance is dependent on the performance of others – new supervisors, as well as experienced managers.
“The soft skills can be the hardest ones for new supervisors to master, said Kimberly Rutigliano, director of ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Continuing and Professional Education. “We built this flexible certificate program to help new supervisors get up to speed fast and for people who have been supervising for a while to hone their skills.”
Courses are offered in three-day workshops or in a six-week evening format at both the Dallas and Plano campuses.
