National Night Out

DALLAS (ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ)— ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ will partner with neighborhoods throughout Dallas and thousands of communities nationwide Tuesday, Oct. 6, for the 32nd annual National Night Out crime and drug prevention event.

 

What:

ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ National Night Out will include carnival games, contests, safety demonstrations, a raffle and appearances by the ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ Police Department, University Park Police and Fire Departments, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ students and campus-area neighbors are invited to attend.
   

 

When:

Tuesday, Oct. 6

5-7:30 p.m. – Food, raffles, games, dunk tank

5:30 p.m. - CareFlight Helicopter Landing

6:00 p.m. - Dorm Burning Simulations (once with sprinkler and once without)

Cost:

$10 for food and beverage tickets
   

ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ’s local National Night Out is co-sponsored by the ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ Police Department. The National Assoc/news/archives/2015/national-night-out-02oct2015/iation of Town Watch event will involve more than 16,000 communities from all 50 states. is designed to: 

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime efforts
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police­ community partnerships
  • Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized, working together, and fighting back
