The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Summer Author Series continues in August as part of the Dallas Mayor’s 2014 Summer Reading Club.
Law Professor will read from at 6:30 p.m. Thursday,
Aug. 7, at the branch at 5626 Royal Lane. Kahn's book is an engaging exploration of the legal and policy questions surrounding U.S. national security and international travel.
Creative Writing Professor will read from at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at the branch at 10045 Audelia Road. Haynes's book is about two families coping with the legacy of personal and political violence. Haynes is the author of seven novels for adults and five books for younger readers. He directs ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ's creative writing program and teaches regularly in the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers.

Bing is a senior fellow and director of global health at the George W. Bush Institute and has initiated worldwide health initiatives, including serving as co-leader of the institute’s Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon partnership, an $85 million public-private program designed to combat cervical and breast cancer in Africa and Latin America.
