Presentation and Booksigning with Jane Albritton: Peace Corps at 50
Jane Albritton, world traveler and editor of the Peace Corps anthology 'Even the Smallest Crab Has Teeth: 50 Years of Amazing Peace Corps Stories' (Travelers’ Tales Guides, 2011), will sign copies of the book Saturday, Feb. 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Barnes and Noble bookstore.
Actors from Kitchen Dog Theatre will present readings from the book.
is one of four anthologies recording the Peace Corps’ accomplishments as it celebrates its 50th anniversary. The volumes cover the regions of the world where volunteers have served: Africa, the Americas, the heart of Eurasia, and Asia and the Pacific.
After graduating from ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, Albritton served with the Peace Corps in India from 1967-69, then returned to Dallas where she earned a Master’s degree in English and taught freshmen composition courses at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ. She also served as writing specialist for the Dedman School of Law. Raised in an ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ family, she is the daughter of Claude Albritton, legendary ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ geology professor, administrator and mentor.
