ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ gets nation's most sophisticated video game lounge

The nation's largest and most sophisticated video game lounge opened Wednesday on the campus of ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ.

The nation's largest and most sophisticated video game lounge opened on the campus of ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ Wednesday. Administrators are encouraging students to take time out to play games. ()Ìý

Wii's, Playstations, and X-box's fill the new 'M Lounge' at ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ, an entertainment room just for students. Student Jonathan Lu says, "Right now, I'm playing 'Prince of Persia' on the PS3; I don't have a PS3 at home."

Equipped with 36 game consoles, courtesy of stores, it's a free arcade on campus.

It serves another purpose: ºù«ÍÞÊÓÆµ is home to , the premier graduate video game education program in the US.Ìý Students say making games is a tedious job that demands feedback from game users. The lounge provides the perfect test. Most people don't realize how long it takes just to make one game.

Student Eva Tran says, "To make something larger, like Halo Wars, I would imagine it would take you two to three years."
